Consolaçáo

Good news, the blog is working again, thanks to David installing a new browser  on my phone as my version of safari wasn't coping. I'm now using Mercury, free to upload and seems to be working fine. It's lovely having David and Hana living with us here in Portugal (and not just to fix things). We're all being pretty lazy and loving it. Consuloçáo is keeping us busy with wonderful little espressos for 70 euro cents, heavenly white sourdough bread rolls, great red wine for 2 euros a bottle and the most heavenly little egg custard tarts, pasteis de nata. And a market with fresh beans, peaches and fish. Between swims and lying on the white sandy beach and eating the time is flying by. Must do something soon.

Sunset down at the beach  bar

We walked along our beach into Peniche then set out around the peninsula in the morning haze

Spectacular cliffs and green foaming surf

Distinctive layered rocks. Pink coloured Rose quartz.

Portugal's Punakaiki

Next day walked the other way from our beach. Lots of gridded rock formations on the coast North of Consolaçáo

A desolate-feeling coastline; came across this lonely monastery

This wee snake may well be highly venomous! It's about 5mm wide
