We arrived in Dublin in drizzly weather, but realised we'd timed it perfectly for Arthur's (Guinness) Day and every pub had live music on that night. That's a lot of pubs and a lot of music. We didn't have a ticket but sell out earlier in the year at 5€ and get you into an undisclosed pub with an undisclosed band. You could see U2 or ... not. But we wandered from place to place and heard some cool bands into the night. Arthur Guinness himself showed up all over he place, he has aged very well. A great night. I forgot my phone so sorry no pictures which is probably just as well.
Very cool stainless steel spire in the city centre. The top lights up at night

Bit of a glum day so had a drink at the Bank... Nice spot on a rainy day.
Had to see Oscar Wilde, such a cool sculpture in various coloured marbles by ? O'Donnell. Achieves a languid fluid feel with stock hard medium. The trousers Are a sparkly chintzy marble, perfect.
Great revival of the pram!
Stylish in purple
The final playoff for Hurling betweem Cork and St Clair was the day we left, right across the road from our Croke Hotel. Such a bizarre game like a mix of several codes. We supported different sides for the fun of it and still haven't found out who won.
Note he supports Cork tonight . You need to look closely.
This is how the Dubliners look until you speak to them then they are all smiles.
I think all of Dublin was at the stadium and in our hotel foyer for the big match.
We are the only souls walking past he entrance after kick off. Police looked suspiciously at our rucksacks but all ok after realising we were Kiwis.
