Mission Accomplished

Decided to be tidy Kiwis this morning and sorted all our gear out ready for departure to New York 11pm tonight...the Redeye. Rationalised and pared back stuff so next stop was the US Post Office. Unfortunately the nearest one was deep in the bowels of Macy's department store and Nell kept "accidentally" getting side tracked and it was some time and dollars later that she finally re-emerged from the labyrinthine interior.
Our plan was then to explore the Mission district. After some deliberations and false starts we found the right bus. Nell had warned me some odd types rode the bus and we certainly had a good crew of miscreants on this trip. Mostly pretty harmless though singing and muttering to themselves with only the occasional shouter. Nell said I fitted right in!....she didn't really need to yell it out so loudly though. We had a pretty sharp Indian lunch and followed up with heavenly lemon tart/espresso. then chanced on Mexican Day at the local park. Relaxing to lie on grassy knoll (in more ways than one) in the warm sun. Possibly the 'high' of the day.

  1. Great trip in the RV and beautifully described. Keep up the good work as I'm keen to see how you find the 'Big Apple' and the east coast compared with the west. And of course the delights of Iceland await!!
