These are the famous Blue Pools in Iceland. It is man made using water from a thermal power station. The water is mineralised and the bottom is a silty mud which is supposed to be very good for the skin... Nell came out looking like a 20 year old (instead of the 30y old she usually looks like.). The temp is a 37-40 degrees depending on which part of the pools you are in and the colour of the water is turquoise.

A lot of Iceland looks like this. It is rocky and volcanic (old lava) and covered in a dry moss.

These are photos of a 3D model of Iceland.
This is the new concert hall/theatre in Reykjavik on the edge of the harbour. it is really beautiful and looks from a distance like it is made out of ice. We went to a play there about some fisherman who drowned when their boat was capsized by a rogue wave. It was a sad but moving story about life and death and what things are truly important.
Taken at 11:30pm!
Some of the Icelandic architecture.
Our apartment. very Nordic!
below is the sun rising at 4.45am. It didn't get dark until about midnight which was hard to adjust to.
