Mark and Ellie's Wedding

What a perfect day for a wedding. We arrived in Seaview early (driving with Molly and Matt a good influence) and wandering the picturesque waterfront we came across the Groom's party having a quiet beer. They looked very sharp in dark grey morning suits. I noticed that The mens' ties all matched their various eye colours in shades of green and blue.

Beautiful wedding service at St. Peter's Church in Seaview for my wonderful nephew Mark and his beautiful bride Ellie.

Aunties with the wedding car

The wedding party with the Brade family.  Ellie's dress is silk sateen with diamante net sleeves , very beautiful bride. The bridesmaids are Ellie's 3 sisters, her brother is 5 from the right.
You can see the green rural setting reflected in the windows.

The reception at Appuldurcombe Castle, a grand 18th Century castle partially renovated with half still in ruins.

Ruins on the other side, me posing!

About to cut the cake. Proud mother of the groom.

Best man Jono. The wedding breakfast of tender beef, potatoes dauphine and big bowls of greens served with New Zealand wines was a real feat in a remote spot with no running water or electricity. Later a live rock band reminded us that it was actually the 21st century. It was a beautiful mellow and traditional wedding day for a perfect couple.
